Land of Freeski

Pro skier Cody Townsend's life changed forever when he first watched Scot Schmidt send the Fingers on 220cm long skis in Warren Miller's 1984 "Ski Country”. The segment was chock-full of iconic inbounds lines from the chutes of the Palisades to the rounded sandstone of The Rock Garden, all happening here. Family of Pioneers

Working on the terrain park crew in the early 2000s, Trevor Kekke was familiar with Shirley Lake Express. He knew it as the high-speed chair nestled back by Shirley Canyon. One nonchalant conversation with family, and now Kekke finds himself on a journey through history.
