U10 Race & Freeride Team at Palisades
This program is for Team Palisades Tahoe skiers who have graduated TPT Mighty Mites and Alpine Ranger Silver programming and want to explore race and freeride competition as well as for those who are committed to competitive racing. The U10 program serves as an introductory step in Team Palisades Tahoe's Race Comp and Freeride Comp pipelines, as well as our Devo and Freeride Sport programs.
The U10 Race & Freeride Team's purpose is to help young athletes build love for the sport and a versatile toolbox of skills that will support their growth and future successes on and off the hill. The program focuses on technical skill development, race and freeride tactics, competitive skills, and personal/interpersonal skills including all-mountain safety, goal setting, teamwork, self-sufficiency, and development of a growth-mindset. Attendance at competitions is expected; however, the program is focused on a fun and holistic approach to competition introduction.
