Lower mountain lift closures were needed to accommodate a timely start to Red Dog construction.

Alpine construction preparation begins

Alpine ceased operations to prepare for Gondola construction and Alpine Lodge enhancements.

Important dates and closures

• April 17: Last day for Red Dog, Resort Chair, Far East, and the east ridgeline of KT-22
• April 17: Last day for Alpine
• April 24: Last day for KT-22

• The mid-station terminal has been completed.
  
• Chalet Lodge improvements have begun and will continue throughout the summer.
  
• Electrical work related to the snowmaking upgrades at Alpine began on June 15.

June

• All terminals have been installed for the bottom of the Base to Base Gondola on the Alpine side.

• Hauling KT mid-station Gondola terminal to the site
• Comm Line installation from KT mid-station to Palisades Base and KT mid-station to Alpine Base

• Crane erection of the KT mid-station Gondola terminal began after Labor Day
• Base to Base Gondola Haul Rope installed in late September
• Lift towers for the new Red Dog lift installed late September/early October

• Base to Base Gondola cabins will be assembled and installed
  
• The Haul Rope for the new Red Dog chairlift will be installed late October/mid-November
