It's time for that little tyke to get on some skis! Ages 3-4 can take a half-day ski lesson in either the morning or the afternoon. A lift ticket or season pass and equipment are required.

Palisades Meeting Location
Come to the Palisades Tahoe Kids Ski & Snowboard School building. This building is between Red Wolf Lodge and the Members' Locker Room. Signage will help you get there, and you can also look for the building with the bell tower. View on Google Maps. The Palisades Tahoe Kids Ski and Snowboard building in The Village at Palisades Tahoe is pedestrian-friendly by restricting vehicle access to only those who need accessible access. There is no drop-off area directly in front of the building. We recommend parking in one of our lots and walking over to the building.

Alpine Meeting Location
Come to the Kids Ski & Snowboard School in the bottom of the Alpine Lodge in the town of Alpine Meadows. Signage will help you get there. View on Google Maps. For Kids Ski & Snowboard School in the Alpine Lodge, you are welcome to park temporarily in the drop-off area just below the Alpine Lodge while checking in.
What if my child doesn’t want to ski or snowboard anymore after the lesson starts?
We try to encourage the child to ski or snowboard. If they truly do not want to participate, we may then call the parent. We can process a credit depending on the time parent picks up. In addition, we will charge a processing fee.

Can I keep my child’s equipment after the lesson?
The equipment is good for the full day. Equipment needs to be returned by 4pm. However, if you plan to return to the Ski & Snowboard School the next day, you can check your equipment overnight. Please ask staff for further assistance.

Can I pick up my child early from the lesson?
Yes, if it does not disrupt the class. Parent needs to have the claim check. The Instructor may not have time to discuss child’s progress unless the parent comes back after the class is over.

What time is pickup? Where is pickup?
Morning Lessons get picked up at 12pm and Afternoon get picked up at 3:30pm. Pick-up takes place outside at the Ski & Snowboard School meeting area.

What number do I call to check on my child?
If your child is at Alpine, please call 530-581-8236. If your child is at Palisades, please call 530-581-8320.

I am going to the Casinos, is that ok?
Parents or guardians of children in group lessons under the age of 5 are required to remain at Palisades Tahoe. Parents or guardians should not leave the area in bad weather and or bad road conditions.

My instructor was great and I would like to show my appreciation! Is it appropriate to tip my instructor?
Gratuities are not expected but are always appreciated.

How do I cancel my booking?
Please use the Palisades Tahoe Lessons cancellation form to submit for your cancellation. Please do not call or email to cancel your booking. Lessons, clinics, and guides are fully refundable until 3 pm 2 days prior to your lesson. Group Lessons and daily Clinics that are canceled after 3 pm 2 days prior to your lesson will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Private Lessons and Guides that are canceled after 3 pm 2 days prior to your lesson will incur a $100 cancellation fee. Same day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable. 3-Day Camps are fully refundable until 3 pm 7 days prior to start of Camp. Cancellations made within 7 days of the Camp start date are non-refundable.

23-24 Ikon Pass holders can receive a 20% discount on Group Lessons from our Mountain Sports School. Use the code IKON20 at checkout. You must present your valid Ikon Pass on the day of your lesson. Does not apply to lift ticket or rental packages.
