TAKE YOUR SNOWBOARDING TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Whether you're a veteran of the slopes or this is your first time seeing snow, our highly-trained instructors will make you feel safe, comfortable, and confident on our iconic terrain. Adult Group Snowboard Group Lessons are half-day lessons, offered in both the morning from 9:30 am-12 pm and the afternoon from 1-3:30 pm. First Timers also qualify for our Learn to Ski Afternoon Special, available at Alpine only.

- Start at either Alpine Lodge or The Village at Palisades Tahoe
- Learn to Ride Special at Alpine in the afternoon only. Includes 2.5hr lesson, restricted beginner lift ticket & equipment rental are included.
- Skier Types 1-3 should purchase a Beginner lesson
- Skier Types 4-9 should purchase an Experienced lesson
Meeting Locations
Palisades Meeting Location
Please check in 1 hour before your scheduled lesson time at the Ski and Snowboard Sales and Rental Shop located in The Village at Palisades Tahoe. Our staff will assist you in getting everything you need for your lesson prior to the lesson start time.
Alpine Meeting Location
The ski school meeting area for Adult Group Lessons is located on the snow in between the main Rental Shop and Treeline Cirque chair. Please check in 1 hour before your scheduled lesson time at the Alpine Rental Shop if you need equipment. If you have your own equipment and/or purchased a ticket with your lesson, please arrive to the meeting location booted up and ready to go 30 minutes prior to your lesson to retrieve your lesson voucher.

Should I purchase my Adult Group Lesson ahead of time?
Yes. This ensures you a spot in an Adult Group Lesson on your day of choice.
How early should I arrive to my Adult Group Lesson?
We suggest that guests arrive at the Meeting Area, ready to go skiing or snowboarding, 15 minutes prior to the start time. If rentals are needed arrive in the rental shop 1 hour before your lesson time. Make sure you show up about 5-10 minutes early as late arrivals might not be able to be accommodated.
Can children attend Adult Group Lessons?
Adult Group Lessons are for guests 13 years of age and older. Guests 12 years of age and younger may sign up for a Olympic Valley Kids School or Alpine Meadows Kids School Group Lesson or a Private Lesson. For adults who wish to ski with children younger than 13 we recommend a Family Private Lesson, which can accommodate up to 5 participants of ages 7+ of similar ability level.
What if I need to take a break?
We encourage guests to take breaks whenever needed. If you need a break other than those taken by the group simply let your instructor know and determine a place that you will meet back up. Your instructor will familiarize you with restroom locations at the beginning of the lesson.
What should I wear?
We recommend guests wear waterproof pants, helmet, gloves, and jacket, as well as a warm hat, goggles, and tall socks. Weather can change quickly and is often very different from the village to the upper mountain, so we suggest guests dress in layers so they can adjust to changing conditions. Sunscreen and lip balm are also necessary to protect your skin from sun and wind burn.
My instructor was great and I would like to show my appreciation! Is it appropriate to tip my instructor?
Gratuities are not expected but are always appreciated.
How do I cancel my booking?
Please use the Palisades Tahoe Lessons cancellation form to submit for your cancellation. Please do not call or email to cancel your booking. Lessons, clinics, and guides are fully refundable until 3 pm 2 days prior to your lesson. Group Lessons and daily Clinics that are canceled after 3 pm 2 days prior to your lesson will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Private Lessons and Guides that are canceled after 3 pm 2 days prior to your lesson will incur a $100 cancellation fee. Same day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable. 3-Day Camps are fully refundable until 3 pm 7 days prior to start of Camp. Cancellations made within 7 days of the Camp start date are non-refundable.
