NASTAR Races

Race against friends, family & other skiers on our NASTAR racecourse located at the top of Shirley Lake's Jimmie Heuga Express run.

In celebration of Mikaela Shiffrin's historic World Cup win record last season, Palisades Tahoe and select Ikon Pass destinations have committed to making recreational ski race courses FREE for the rest of this winter and beyond. Participants can compete within their age and gender to win platinum, gold, silver, and bronze medals. Racers that are top-ranked in their group can qualify to compete in the 2024 NASTAR Championships. See nastar.com for more details.

NASTAR Races every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am – 3pm.
Course open daily as long as Shirley Lake Chairlift is running.
This course is FREE to Ikon Pass or Palisades Tahoe pass holders, but registration is required with NASTAR. Go to nastar.com click on register. There is no charge for registering. You need a NASTAR number to race the course.

If you are not an Ikon Pass or Palisades Tahoe pass holder, you will need to purchase the one-day unlimited run NASTAR Ticket, 2-Run Race Ticket, or NASTAR Season pass. Just show the starter in the race booth your receipt on your phone or printed out.
