    What is Progression Sessions?
Progression Sessions is a community built for experienced snowboarders, where we share one truth, "there are no plateaus". Each event is pre-loaded with a set of skill-based goals, and complemented with a real world adventure. From off-piste workshops designed to access the whole mountain, to freestyle sessions curated for safe focused progression in the park. We provide a roadmap for movement supported by friendship and fun.

    Event Description:
    Freestyle 1.0 "Fundamentals and Safety"
In this workshop we celebrate clean style and thoughtful decision making. We direct our efforts at giving you the tools to self-assess your skills in the moment, as well as read and understand a variety of features; so you’ll be making decisions that lead to stomping tricks rather than stacking slams. We take a layered approach to skill building in the terrain park, breaking down tricks to their core elements so you can refine each movement before putting the pieces back together on a feature.

    In this workshop we’ll cover:

    • Park Safety and Etiquette
    • ASTML (an acronym for understanding the sequence of a trick and its application to a feature)
    • Understanding POP- Ollie, Nollie, and Rebound
    • Dynamic Base of Support. Butters, Presses, Handplants, etc.
    • Starting and Stopping Rotation. Ground Spins, 180-360 Airs, Boardslides, etc.
    • Self Assessment- so you know when to refine a trick, add a layer, or move back a step.

Whether you’re brand new to the terrain park, or hoping to finally stick that frontside 180, this workshop is a great opportunity to build skills that will keep you progressing for years to come.
