The Village at Palisades Tahoe comes alive with the annual Oktoberfest on September 26, from 12:00pm to 6:00 p.m. The Village will transform into the largest Bavarian playground in North Lake Tahoe, complete with authentic German beer and food, Bavarian music and dance, plus the ever-popular OktoberGames. Enjoy live entertainment by Joe Smiell's 20 Piece Bavarian Band, the Almenrausch Schuhplattler Dance Troop, and the Sierra Alphorns, Alpentanzer Schuhplattler Dance Troop, accompanied by the Alpentanz Kapelle Band throughout the day.
The annual Oktoberfest now features the authentic German Erdinger Weissbier and brand new VIP packages. Authentic Brats, Pretzels, Swiss Slices, and traditional European desserts/pastries plus Root Beer Floats for the kids will be available for purchase.

• $40 – Oktoberfest Package: Includes an entry donation to the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation, one beer, and a 0.5-liter commemorative festival stein. Additional food and beer tickets can be purchased on-site.
• $13 – Oktoberfest Entry Donation: Contribute $13 to support the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation. This option is ideal for guests seeking event access without the complete Oktoberfest Package, including minors ages 13–20 who will not be consuming alcohol. Guests bringing their legacy Oktoberfest stein may also select this option and purchase beer tickets on-site.
• $125 – VIP Package: Skip the beer lines with access to the exclusive VIP Beer Lounge. Includes everything in the Oktoberfest Package, plus a VIP commemorative stein, one drink, one food item, exclusive beer and spirit selections, private seating, and dedicated food and beverage service. Enjoy all German beer selections without leaving the VIP area.
• FREE – Kids 12 & Under: Includes event entry only. Children must have a VIP ticket to enter the VIP area.

*Presale tickets end September 25 at 11:59 p.m. One festival stein is included with each Oktoberfest Package. Steins are not included with the Oktoberfest Entry Donation. Guests must have a festival stein to drink beer at the event.

Event Details
• Beer tickets are $8 and available for purchase throughout the festival grounds.
• All beer is poured into festival steins. Purchase the Oktoberfest Package, which includes a commemorative 2026 stein, or—back this year—bring your legacy stein from a previous Oktoberfest at Palisades Tahoe.
• All proceeds from beer sales benefit the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation.
• Festivalgoers must be 21 or older and present a valid ID to purchase beer.
• All food is available for purchase on-site and is not included in beer or entry pricing.
• OktoberGames are free to enter. Participation is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Beer will only be poured into 2026 Oktoberfest festival steins and legacy steins. Legacy steins are steins from previous Oktoberfest events at Palisades Tahoe.

OktoberGames are free to enter, with participation available on a first-come, first-served basis. This year, the games have moved to the new Gondola Plaza!
Game Hours
• Stein Race: 1:00 p.m. – Teams of two compete in a speed walk through an Oktoberfest obstacle course.
• Brat Toss: 2:30 p.m. – Toss a bratwurst onto a keg, with each round adding difficulty. The last person standing wins.
• Stein Holding Competition: 4:00 p.m. – Competitors hold a full 1-liter stein in one hand at shoulder height. The last competitor holding a full stein wins.
