The Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival 2023
One of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the region, the free community event takes place at The Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and gives kids and adults the opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy.
This event is a community tradition to learn about sustainable products and services offered by local organizations and businesses, meet with local area nonprofits that share Earth Day values, as well as showcasing local entertainment. Our goal is to connect the community with the people and resources found in our region who foster innovation, initiate change and ultimately implement an equitable partnership for a green planet.
Back for 2023: Recycle with Us
Lithium battery or any of your old rechargeable devices! We've partnered with Redwood Materials and the Rotary Clubs of Incline Village and Incline
Interact Club to host an on-site battery recycling drop off at the Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival. Bring your old lithium-ion batteries and phones, laptops, tablets, power tools, and any other device with a lithium-ion battery at the Redwood Materials booth to have it properly recycled.
Climate Stripes Exhibit
Back for its third year and bigger than ever, students from the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District along with help from Mountain Forge, Forest Charter, Palisades Tahoe and Citizens Climate Lobby, North Tahoe have created a brand new climate Stripes Exhibit for the 2023 Tahoe Truckee Earth Day. Visit #ShowYourStripes for more info on the global warming stripes initiative.
