  2. It's convenient. With 7-minute average wait times and on-demand door-to-door service, it’s easy to get where you want to go.
  3. Safety first. Don’t want to drive in the snow? Planning to have drinks with dinner? Leave the driving to us.
  4. It's good for the environment. Shared rides mean fewer vehicles on the road. With more than 50% shared rides, Mountaineer greatly reduces cars on the road and vehicle miles traveled.
Operations Schedule

The Mountaineer service is no longer operating for the 2022-2023 season. The tentative winter 2023-2024 operating dates are December 8th, 2023-April 9th, 2023.

How It Works

Follow these simple steps to get started and request your ride. 
STEP 1
Download the Mountaineer app, available on iTunes Store or Google Play Store, to get started.

STEP 2
Request a ride using the app. The vans are 4WD, dog-friendly and they seat up to nine passengers. They also come equipped with ski & snowboard racks. One van is ADA accessible. Avergae wait time is 7 minutes.
STEP 3
Mountaineer is an on-demand and door-to door service. It will transport you from wherever you are in Olympic Valley to wherever you want to go within Olympic Valley. The Mountaineer will transport you from your location in Alpine Meadows to wherever you want to go within Alpine Meadows. New for winter 2022-23, Mountaineer will also transport you between Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows daily 5pm to 10:30pm.
