NEW! Guided Hikes with Picnic Lunch at High Camp

Your journey begins with a scenic Aerial Tram ride ascending 2,000 vertical feet with incredible views of the mountains, valley, and Lake Tahoe. Our North Face Hiking Guides will lead you on one of Lake Tahoe’s best hikes followed by lunch at 8,200 feet. Along the way, your guide will reveal the many wonders of nature in the flora and fauna along the trails and describe the geological aspects of these incredible surroundings. Enjoy a hiker's lunch of charcuterie created by the Palisades Tahoe culinary team on a private deck with amazing views before the final descent to High Camp and a ride down to the base on the Aerial Tram. This hike will range in length and difficulty depending upon consultation with your guide. Participants must be at least 5 years old.


Guided Hike Details:
  • Days: Offered on Fridays & Sundays throughout the summer
  • Time: 9:30am. Participants meet their guide at the base of the Tram
  • Ages: 5 and up. Hike will be tailored to the group's ability level.
  • Length: Mileage will vary. 2 hours will be spent hiking; 1 hour will be spent on lunch.

MUST purchase by midnight two days before. No day-of reservations. Cancellations must be made by 3 pm the day before.
Can I bring my dog with me?
No. Dogs are not permitted on the hike at this time.

I have an Ikon Pass. Do I need an Aerial Tram ticket?
No. 2023/24 Ikon Pass holders can ride the tram for free and do not need to purchase an additional ticket.

How long is the hike?
The entire experience will take about 3 hours. expect around 2 hours of hiking and 1 hour for lunch.

What should I wear?
Bring sun protection and layers. You should have sunscreen, sunglasses, a sunhat, extra water, and some warmer layers. The weather can change rapidly at High Camp in the summertime, so be prepared for multiple conditions. Sturdy, closed-toed shoes are required as well. Sandals/flip flops/slip-ons will not be permitted.
